Maybe it is your trans. It could also depend on what we consider notchy. The T-56 will never shift as smooth as 5 speed. At least not in my experience. To be honest I ran Coastal brand ATF in my old T-56 and it shifted just as smooth as my current trans with synchromesh. Although the synchromesh was used to help with another issue. I don't consider my current trans smooth. Especially after driving imports. But it's not too bad IMO. Having everything adjusted where I want helped immensely.Agreed! my tranny has always been notchy, I have tried all the miracle fluids, RP, Amsoil, etc.. Various cables, Quadrants/fire wall adjuster, currently using oem cable but the previous Steeda cable worked just as well, and lastly the Anti Venom Mod. Still notchy?
The T45 on my wifes GT w/100k shifts like butter and has been through the ringer, we use to race it every friday night local test and tune, its on the 3rd clutch since 1999, damn thing shifts great!
