If I've learned anything on forums it's that sometimes claims are made from members (and sometimes vendors) that lack the proof to back them up. I hate when it happens because in the end both parties get hurt in different ways. Sometimes straying from the simple facts ends up clouding the original issue to where it is pushed to the side. Heck, nobody is perfect. We all make mistakes. We all fail at times. But one thing that we can all do is try to remember that what we say or what we do has consequences. Sometimes good. Sometimes bad. So we need to choose our words and our actions carefully, be sure we have the facts right, and communicate clearly and respectfully. And if we make a mistake, to then humble ourselves and apologize. I've had to do that myself many times, both outside of this forum and within this forum (as a member and as a vendor). And likely will have to do so again in the future. After all, I'm not perfect. I sometimes make mistakes. And I sometimes fail.
I really hope we all (members and vendors) learned something positive from this thread and will be more considerate and respectful towards each other. If we have concerns about a product we should personally/privately contact the vendor and discuss those concerns calmly and respectfully. And as vendors that we listen and respond calmly and respectfully. But if anyone then has to air a grievance publicly after having tried to work it out with the other party, that it is done with respect and with clear facts. Hopefully after all is said and done friendships are gained and maintained, and not harmed or destroyed.
I really love this forum! And I sincerely mean that. ;-)
Are you kidding me supercarkiller???? We go through all this crap for 2 days feeling sympathy for you becasue of the raw deal that you supposedly got from Steigemeieir Porting and now it looks like you did indeed just simply have an agenda to discredit all along.
Was there poor workmanship involved? Yep.
Was the response to correct the issue a little slow? Maybe so.....but maybe no?
Was there improper verbal treatment of the OP? Not sure, but all signs now point to NO.
And why the attack on the Administration of this site??? They let the whole thing play out: good, bad, off topic, whatever, until the very end.
I am on knowbodys side here but it seems to me since there are multiple problems with the Stage 5 plate, they should have made an announcement or informed their customers and taken care of the problem before something serious happens to someones engine. Am I right?
The OP made his point without bashing so the thread is still here.

It looks to me like there is way more to this than what we see here. But the only way we will ever know is if the OP gets unbanned, because he will either prove whether the tape does exist and was verbally abused by Stieg or he was just bluffing or maybe even exagerating.
Im leaning towards OP is saying the truth. You just have to look at everyones demeanor through the entire thread and you can see the truth.
But obviously he and another member with no so favorable reviews of Steig have been banned since this thread started.:dw:What happened, did they say something nasty in a PM? If I were the OP, I'd be a little pissed too.
There are good vendors/shops out there that do great work and a lot more crappy ones. And unfortunately even the good guys have problems. This seems to be the case here as the work was sub-par to say the least. Regardless if that blower work was done a year and a half ago, Steig knew he had a problem and should have stepped up to the plate and said "Ya, we've had problems with that early design, I'll take care of it". End of story.
wish i had my phone conversation, you would hear all kinds of naughty words
Not sticking up for Bob (or doubting what you say), but honestly, if Bob is a hothead like most guys I know, he would probably have used some choice words in rebuttal to someone complaining about his work, especially if they were yelling, swearing, etc. Is it professional - no, is it the way the complaint should be handled - no, but Bob is just a car guy like the rest of us when it comes right down to it, so he is susceptible to being pushed over the edge. To me the claims of swearing at customers means absolutely nothing, and just sidetracks the main issue. What is important is what Bob does to make the situation right! All this "he said" crap is nothing more than schoolyard bullshit!:rollseyes It would, however, be nice if Steig would take the time to do a serious reply here, and not keep copying/pasting the same crap advertisement over, and over!
