Automotive spies in Germany have sent images of what’s likely to become next year’s version of the Nissan GT-R Nismo.

Judging by the looks of the test car snapped at the German Nürburgring, the new Nismo is going to receive upgraded brakes and additional air outlets above the front wheels that would improve aerodynamics. Other features are not known yet, but expect a lightly revised interior and a small power boost.

Expect the car to be publicly shown at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show.

Extremely dated visually.

Extremely relevant performance wise.

For me to want to pay the kind of money they bring, I really need a more attractive car to get off the money.

This....i'd rather just snag a 09-10 car for 50k and slap the newer parts on it.

Going to mod the motor anyway so who cares about that....

Wifey's debating a GTR or Jeep SRT

So my Japanese buddy who works in the Japanese racing industry explained that Nismo is basically their own entity and can come out with their own models outside of Nissan. I believe the regular GTR ended production but he said Nismo did this with the R34 as well after it ended production. Makes a little more sense.

I TOTALLY agree with the design (or lack thereof) comments. It's really looking badly dated. The only thing keeping it a relevant vehicle is the performance. It's a monster. Wonder how annual sales of GT-Rs are doing.

I still like the R34 design over this one. Most cars grow on me after they have been out so long. This car still looks unappealing to me and with the lack of manual shifter, there is absolutely zero reasons why I would want one.

So unoriginal and boring. Looks like my old 14.
I do miss that power of it. Just don't miss the dick magnet part.
