Steph, reading the product descriptions, I do not believe this one has a slide down "hide away" feature. It's intent is to simply allow the front plate to be visible where it is supposed to be (location wise) while not requiring the bumper to be drilled. You can remove the plate itself for a car show, or remove the entire bracket that holds the plate (thumb screws). For more info or to confirm what I'm saying, contact the seller.

Pretty nice, well made product IMO. Well made and it does its job well!
