Had to get something more practical for the wife and I since our kid will be born in about 5 weeks. I could have kept the GT500, but I felt selfish.

The new!

I was expecting a ZR1 or a used 911. Oh well....sorry to hear. You are a better man than me.

congrats! And congrats for you being a good guy and putting family first. I'm sure that meant a lot to the wife.

Congrats, I would love one of those for the wife. However I kept my shelby knowing the baby was coming and she has a nice leased Rogue...so its all good. Baby seat mod in the shelby is badass anyway :lol1:

Looked into it, it was actually high on my list for the HP, but I was DEAD SET on having HID head lights. Why ford wouldnt put them in a 45,000 SUV and make you pay almost $50,000 to get them is beyond me.

The other car I drove for about two days and was VERY close to pulling the trigger was this guy...

2013 SHO with the performance package. But in the end, I just couldnt do it.

Here was the Taurus with the Recaro pro ride seat in it. Almost did not fit. This would NEVER fit in the mustang.

I think I will be happy. The BMW is paid off. If things go well, she might let me get something fun again in the next 2 years or so. OR we are going to start pumping out kids. Lets see what happens.

Either way, it was a JOY to be on this site. Lots of great info, and lots of good folks on here. I will be hanging around so I am not completely gone

LOL. I knew I would get someones hopes up!

My wife and I got a black limited 4x4 last year. They're great vehicles, I'm sure you'll love it.

The ride is amazing. I drove the GLK and ML MBenz and the X5. For the money, this thing rides the SAME if not quieter. Never thought I would say that about a ford. Power is okay, but I am not racing anyone. The stereo sounds great, but again the sync user interface is kinda iffy. The Jeep was my other choice, but i hated the way it rode and the steering.

BMW, MB, and Audi better get things together. Other than a status symbol, I am having a hard time considering them in the future.

Good for you! Excellent decision as the needs of your family are far more important than owning a toy that rapidly depreciates. Good luck with your new arrival and invest the money that would have been put towards the Shelby in a college fund for your child.

I bought my wife the 302A package in Sterling Grey. We love it. The auto parallel park is spooky.

wtf?? noooooo...there had to have been another combo of vehicle options that would have worked into keeping the shelby :cryying:

I see who wears the pants in that family :D
