Needs more E85 ;)
Awesome car. Great work and usual from you. If it performs half as well as it looks, then it will be a beast. I still havent had the chance to ride in a hellcat. I'm sure I'd enjoy it too much.

Great looking car and I really like the rims and tires! I have R888s on my Cobra also and they hook pretty good with 700 RWHP.

Congrats what a beast.

Thanks man

what tires/wheels are you running?

Sorry for the delayed response, been super crazy with work and haven't been on much. But yes, BC Forged RS41's finished in their Matte Bronze with Toyo Proxy R888R's 285's in the front and 325's in the back.

And I thought my 315's were big.

Steam rollers.

If we had E85 at the pump in CT I would in a heart beat.

Thank you. I love these tires, but hate how noisy they are. I feel like the R888's on my cobra were not as loud as the R888R's.

Ray, I thought I saw you late this afternoon in Milldale exiting I-84. If it wasn't you, the owner has a good looking black Challenger. Looked to be nicely modded.

I added a couple of things since then. Just no updated pics but you get the picture.

Bob, that was not me. I was working all day yesterday to about 6 o'clock and did not drive the car.

Well....a sad day came, but thankfully there will be a happy ending to this story.

Long story short, the car has suffered from a bad gasket and had a blown piston.

I drove the car only a few times this year and it was running abnormally hot. I kept trying to diagnose the issue and everything was coming back as a bad head gasket.

I want to say this happened right at the end of last season. Not 100% what happened. Maybe bad fuel, could be 100 different things but I don't want to play the finger pointing game.

I was planning on pulling the engine with some friends and bringing it to a local performance shop in town to diagnose the motor. Work has been insanely busy lately so I thought it would be wise to have the shop pull the motor.

This is what we found....

I was weighing out my options and came to the conclusions that I did not want to do a built motor. It was a lot more than I had wanted to spend. The plan was to order a factory hellcat long block right from mopar...then I thought to myself...maybe I can get a demon long block. I saw another build online of someone doing a red eye / demon long block in their hellcat. For those that are not familiar with the difference between the two, the red eye / demon has different pistons, rods, and some other internal parts. Another big difference is the hellcat has a 2.4L super charger and the red eye / demon has a 2.7L. I will be keeping my stock blower.

Long story short, the build is all follows:

-Brand new Demon Long Block
-Texas Speed Cam
-Monster Triple Disk Clutch
-Had my ARH LT's ceramic coated
-Pinned Crank
-ATI 10% lower off my old motor
-Quick change upper pulley
-Tuning on 93 w/ torco

The car should be done next week. I brought my valve covers today to get powder coated gloss red. Looking forward to getting her back on the road.

Same here haha. It'll be a different dyno, and the dyno it'll be on this time is considered a heart breaker. Not really sure what to expect honestly.

Sorry to hear about your motor woes, Ray, but it looks like you found a really great solution. Is Jannetty doing the work?
