I once went to a renowned donut shop in Orange, CT famous for their glazed donuts. Close to Krispy Creme glazed donuts. I bought a dozen and intended to eat one and bring the rest home. NOT! I brought 3 home! I literally sat in the parking lot and ate 9 of them. LOL.

My son, nephew and a couple of my nephew's friends entered a cook off earlier in the year for a school fundraiser under the guidance of my step-brother and got 1st place in ribs. The people running it like the kids so much that they invited them to another one and even sponsored there shirts and entry. Here they are this past weekend taking names. My step brothers gave direction and did the knife and fire work for safety.
They won 2nd in chili, 1st in chicken, 3rd in ribs, 2nd in chef's choice and 1st in brisket.

While the kids were prepping for cook off I was busy making a sign. This is 36" wide 1/4" birch plywood with a couple of coats of orange paint and some silver mirror acrylic glued on top. This was the first time I used both wood and acrylic together on something this big. It was used for a senior display for a high school girl.
