Those type r's are going to be monsters once the aftermarket gets going. Watch out!
Honda heads flow ridiculously well.

Despite all the hate, they have always had great engineering. They have always just marched to the beat of their own drum. Those type r's are going to be monsters once the aftermarket gets going. Watch out!

That is not even close to what Honda did here. They are actually advertising whp rather than the normal crank horsepower.STD corrected I was 288/330 something.
I gained 50whp and 70wtq across the entire band from my tune

You realize the Type R is already boosted?I'd take the RS over the Type R everyday of the week and twice on Sunday. Not to take anything away from Honda though, they've done wonders with their smaller engines. To me the RS is way more appealing, already forced induction, awd and can make tons more power cheaper. The Type R is a badass car, expensive for a FWD car but they handle like their on rails. I just see the RS as a better overall value.

Limit on the RS has been 425whp and 400wtq.No he doesn't, and also doesn't realize how much power the Type R can make cheap also...

Both negatives are end all's for me.This is a completely uninformed post.
Honda parts and upgrades are cheap as dirt. The Type R is already turbo. Honda motors of this generation are incredibly strong. The S2k will take 500whp all day long on completely stock hardware. I dont doubt this motor will prove to be equally as strong.
The head on this car will outflow the RS by a country mile.
The 2 major knocks against this car IMO are the way it looks LOL and the fact that its FWD.

He seemed like a cool dude.sounds like the dude on the bike cannot ride tbh....my Ninja 1000 would do all of 90+ in 1st gear......
He seemed like a cool dude.
Wasn't riding with gear or a helmet though. Shifted at ok speed.
Had it been longer than 60-130 I think he would have passed

NH rules.wasnt riding with a helmet...? sounds squid-tastic
whoops, I didn't know the Type R was a turbo car from the factory. I guess I'm used to their old adage of naturally aspirated.
Still, I'd take the RS a million times over. The AWD and looks(which is subjective) make the difference to me. I seen a local Type R sell for 63k, I don't think the RS was bringing that kind of money, that's why I said what I said about the money in my "uninformed" post above.lol
How much of the type R's motor is strung out, I know its a smaller displacement motor compared to the RS. 2.0 vs 2.3
Curious to know which motor will max out first.
