You can sleeve an LS7 and run boost nice and safely all day long. H/C/I and a small 50 or 75 dry shot will not hurt an LS7. There isn't anything wrong with titanium connecting rods, as the ZR1 uses the Titanium connecting rods as well. The problem lies with RPMs, the Z06 can turn to 7k-7.2k rpms and the ZR1 turns to 6.5k rpms.

ok but now your talking about re-sleeving a LS7 just to handle F/I power....so your basically saying you need to take a long block that cost 18 grand from GM, then spend another several G's to sleeve it just to handle F/I when you can just buy a LS3 long block from GM for 8 grand? Hm, I dont know which ones the better deal.

even when you have a ported blower, and he has a Cam, its not going to be much of a race. Cammed LS3's run just as good if not better then stock c6 z06's..and we all know how a ported Cobra ends up against a C6 Z06 so just look at it in that perspective.

a guy locally had a H/C and a 175 shot on his 09 C6. All motor with heads and cam only it was 520rwhp.....on the spray it was 700rwhp. It was a bone stock motor and handled the spray all day long. Those LS3's are bullit proof and they are mod freaks.

how does the ported cobra turn out against the z06...seems your under the impression that the z06 will smoke it...yet there are many many many ported eatons in the low 11's or better...definitely z06 range

A stock Z will hand a ported car it's ass. Stock Z's with a good driver will go very low 11's / high 10's. From a roll, it's easy pickins for the Z too.

To recap, any H/C LS3 will beat any twin screw Cobra because a Vette owner thinks his car is the bestest dood. All stock C6Zs are 10 second cars and no ported eaton Cobra could EVER beat one.

What's the real truth? Not every ported/pullied Cobra runs 10s, and no not every stock C6 z06 run low 11s/high 10s..:bored: It could go either way depending on the race, driver and running condition of the cars, (obviously a C6Z has an advantage from a high rolling speed, where from a dig a ported / pullied Cobra could easily outrun a truly bone stock C6Z. That goes for a twin screw Cobra against a H/C/I LS3 or any other scenario brought up here.

Ok I'm done, I'll let the fanboys have their fun. :beer:

Well put, there are HUGE variances in the times from both sides, so there's no way to say what will happen. It is very ignorant to say it's a hands down win or loss right now.
