I hear ya. Sometimes when cars are too nice I fear driving them as much for some reason.
Probably why I drove that convertible a decent amount last year because it's not perfect.

In a rough spot with that - they sound phenomenal with even a catback; problem is

It's not so much that they're loud; it's more so about the sound pressure they generate.
Other problem with the EVOs is just getting basic parts. Cool thing about the STI is they built the damn car for 20 years, body/interior is shared with tens of thousands of Impreza and power train was pretty much unchanged.
VA STI reminds me of what an Evo XI would have looked like.
I wonder if prices will come down once the world stops acting stupid. I'd like to grab a white STI GR or VA for my daughters first car. She's 2/yo right now.

Took it out last night. Still need to keep working on setting the compression and rebound just right. Got kicked out on this pass for no cage.
Changed out the valve covers for some tall deck ones. It took a while before finding some that I liked that would work with the roller rockers.
