Do you have billet rods or forged? If you have forged, don't expect them to last very long at those power levels.

A properly sized single will spool just as fast as twins, and make more torque. The spooling thing is a myth perpetuated by a combination of misinformation and improperly setup turbo systems.

Singles are more efficient that twins, definitely. But supras also don't have the space for two larger twins, so it's a difficult comparison mustang to supra.

Go 3.55's or numerically lower. I will most likely put the 3.27's in and yank the 3.73's this winter. Turbo's love load to help them spool.

Well With The IC
Setup..Pushing 700-800 on low boost..Until I go crazy and use up the 1200hp pontential that I will have..

6-Speed Tranny ..maybe 3.73's will be alright...4:10s with full boost at 3000 will kill me or someone near me...

A supra is also a bad comparison because they have smallish 6 cylinders.
The extra volume of our V8's make for easier spinning up of larger turbos.

With a Viper Spec T56 I would go with 3.55's. With a Cobra Spec T56 (obviously with an upgraded 26 spline input shaft) I would go with the 3.27's.

Do you mean 3.27s with the Cobra R spec T56? The 03/04 Cobra T56 is the same wide-ratio as the Viper except for 6th gear (5th is different, but close), with the same 2.66 1st, etc. The Cobra R T56 is the close-ratio one with the 2.97 1st, etc. All Ford T56's (same in Aston Martin, et al) are the ones in the 03/04 Cobra, except for the Cobra R.

Nope, I mean the 03 Cobra Spec.

The .50 6th gear in the Viper Spec would give him a nearly unusable 6th gear when coupled with 3.27's, otherwise I would have reccomended them for both the Cobra and Viper spec. The 3.55's will bring the RPM's up to a usable point at cruise speeds in 6th.

Yeah, but at the cost of the other 5 gears. How often will 6th gear be used? The choice should be made based on the first 5 gears IMO, as they are really the ones that matter at all in any real driving or racing situation. You'll never use 6th in any racing (except maybe Silver State) and rarely in driving.

Internals $2,000
sorry to rain on your parade but you better up the cost of internals, good rods/pistons are gonna ruin you around $1k, add in machine work (bore, hone, align-hone, deck the block) if you're gonna do it right..... thats about another $500-$800, new head and main studs or bolts, roughly $300, new oil pump (its recommendable that you change it), new rod and main bearings.. the list goes on, and thats all considering you do the work yourself......
