Yep, I knew it was going to be a definite based on what he said after the game. He loves football and competition, but he loves his family even more, and now is a good time for him to gracefully retire from the sport that made him a legend. I'm happy he is able to leave at the time he is leaving AND in the way he is leaving. No big fanfare and a whole season of saying goodbye.

He lied when he said he will retire when he sucks. He literally retired on his 2nd/3rd best offensive season of his career.

Reminded me of Forrest Gump running for miles and miles. Then out of nowhere, decides to stop running and goes home.

I'm just glad that Stafford gets a chance for a ring. Kid played too long and too hard for an organization that really has no desire to be good.

I'm just glad I was able to witness his career here in New England. Simply amazing. Week after week.
Me, too, Paul. I'm a state south, but I was always a big fan. He was beyond amazing and will be greatly missed.

Shit, he ain't retired. They all come back. We know it's coming. It will be after the draft after every team has announced starters. The team with the weakest schedule will sign him.

Anyone want to make a bet with me?

Brady will not be back. Ever. Football comes second to his family and they want him home. He wants the same thing. Bottom line is that he is the exception to the usual rule where retirees feel compelled, out of need, to come back.
