'Nutcrackers' is what it was called in my world.
We used to have a drill called blood on the moon, the coaches would line up a channel of sorts, basically tackling dummies end to end on either side for about ten yards. This was essentially Thunderdome, two defenders and one unlucky bastard that got to play ball carrier and attempt to get thru them. I saw stars more than once
