Ehh.. I’d venture to say you have 200k or more in vehicles…

I wouldnt say “ a lot “ of people have over 200k worth of vehicles on this forum. Sure there’s a few but not a lot.

I mean regardless of if it’s the Dealership that owns it or you do.. you have access to it. Not everybody can just be like “ oh hey I can go get that f450 king ranch for the next year”

But I agree with Josh you’ve never come off as a dick about it

In that case, I typically have about $12mil in vehicles ;)

Anyways guys, back to the topic on hand...kids.

I wouldn't ever tell someone they should have them, but I know the ones I have make every part of my life more enjoyable.

Kids have made me way more responsible with money. Prior to having kids I would buy a mustang, mod it, get bored of it, sell it and lose $. Or buy a street bike, ride it for a couple years then want a newer one.

Now I think a lot more about what I am doing with my money before making big purchases.

Isn't it the American way to have as many kids as you want and be broke before having them?

That's what the taxpayers are for....

You're missing the point of contributing to and being part of the American society.

One and done here.....best of both worlds. I get to have the experience and joy of having a child and the benefits of having Money, time, and a pretty good amount of freedom. Also having 1 kid keeps the wife from getting too worn out during the day for play time at night.

I can't imagine life without my two daughters. And we plan for two more.

I can have the absolute worst day at work, then go and pick up my girls and my oldest is 2 years old. She runs into me full speed when she sees me.

After that all the stress melts away.

My advice to anyone on the fence of having kids is..

Do it.

Literally.

I don't disagree with that. I don't think anyone should live higher than their means, or live higher than they want to work.

I know plenty of guys that are completely satisfied making $50,000 a year and live within that structure. They couldn't be happier. That's not the life I want.

I know plenty of consultants that make $300-$400k a year that don’t have shit to show for it and zero savings, and yes, some are single. I’ll never understand how people can be THAT financially retarded…

If kids don't drive and push you to do better in life with career, marriage, individual progress, then you are pretty much screwed. Life is costly, regardless of kids, if one can't dial in spending habits, then its your own fault.
