Lets hope the roof was maintained and resealed regularly. No pics of the roof condition in the ad, unfortunately. Truck camper people are a special breed, as you generally get where you are going and park without breaking camp till you're ready to go home.

That engine and trans combo should last a long time. Very cool combo.

A couple hundred bucks at Home Depo and a quick reupholster and that interior could be amazing. The real question is its overall mechanical health.

I follow a few channels of people updating old campers and a lot of people do jaw dropping work on shoestring budgets. An example:

Oh wow, yeah, that is an amazing transformation. A "tiny house" on wheels, done on the cheap!

As mentioned above, 460, 4 barrel, 3 speed auto with 4:10's? $5+ a gallon? Gonna be spendy to run.

And the thought of changing that AMAZING 70's goodness interior? No way.

Yep! Today's fuel prices would make you wince with every mile.

My diesel pusher is approaching $1/mile operating costs on fuel alone right now. If all maintenance costs are added in, it's already over that amount.

Thanks for the post. My grandpa had something similar in the 70s that they would take to Texas every winter. Brings back a lot of good memories. Brought a tear to my eye. He bitched about the price of gas then. Lol
