Wait so someone brought up a point that this is not controlled with a thermostat like the 13 track pack air/oil cooler is. The track pack oil cooler doesn't come on till you reach the correct oil temperatures.

How does this compare in that regard? Also how does this ones oil cool effectiveness comapre with the track pack oil/air cooler as well.

The track pack one mounts up I believe on the passenger side of the car right up to the radiator or heat exchanger. Then they remove the shields in the lower grill to allow air to get to it. Would we be able to do the same thing with this install?

Also do you have a transmission or differential cooler in the works?

We have not had a problem with over cooling so by comparison the products do the same thing. As far as mounting the MMR cooler, it is larger and more efficient but it can be mounted in the same location as the factory track pack. Currently no trans cooler or diff cooler in the works Let us know if you have any other questions!

Someone brought up a good point to me that you guys don't use a thermostat to control when this cooler comes on. They said it will essentially turn the oil into acid if it is on all the time.

Acid huh, LOL, using that statement oil would be turning into acid in everyones car when it sat in the snow or was driven in cold conditions routinely. The primary reason for running a thermostat for water or oil is to bring the temperature up to operating temp. quickly, this is because thick oil has a direct result on fuel mileage and HP output, the benefit of thicker/cooler oil is its abilty to protect moving parts.

Sorry guys, we have been slammed here at the MMR facility and have not had the time to do the install as we had hoped, we do however hope to have a install thread by another member here soon. Thank you to those that have purchased this kit!

Lethal performance ( an MMR distributor) has sold quite a few of these MMR kits and as we are aware some of them have gone to road racers, a PM to them may answer any questions you may have in regards to road race use, you are also welcome to ask us any question also!
