My son performs in his first ever gymnastics exhibition...

He is going to be 10 in July, and is competing for the first time this year as a level 5 gymnast. He was extremely nervous due to the number of spectators that showed up, but I think he did well, despite the stage fright.

i have a cousin that got into gymnastics at the same age, years later he got a scholarship to University of Michigan, he graduated this year.

lol gymnasts have upper body strength like no other.

i teach gymnastics well i teach them how to get stronger an i really just help the big girls in the high school teams if you know what i mean lol they arent the greatest at doing back flips an other crap, it sucks some time but working with the kids are fun i know my kids will do it boy or girl cause my son will be the strongest fastest kid on the field

The gym for the exhibition is High Point Gymnastics, but the gym in his other videos is Cypress Academy of Gymnastics in Houston. That is a HUGE gym and a lot of great gymnasts have come out of there.

High Point is not in the same league, but we finally found a great coach there, so I believe it will work out

I posted this thread about 6 months ago for my son's first exhibition, and now I am bringing it back up to post the video's of his competition debut. His team only has 3 boy's on it, including him, but they took 1st overall out of about 40 other boys from teams across the region.

He was extremely nervous and made a few mistakes that cost him points, but he did very well for his first competitive meet. This was at the 4th Annual Boudreaux Classic Gymnastics Meet in Hickory, NC.

I was a gymnast for 10 years, competed nationals 3 times. I was in region 3 junior elite. Its been a while.. Bo Morris was my coach for half my time in the gym and is now the head or director of the USAG, or was. Then I was trained by Alex Shostak. He was a 2 time Olympian from Belarus.
