My son (FoolnYa) and I made the 4 hour trip down to Fayetteville, NC yesterday to run our bolt on 3.7 Mustangs in the 1/4 mile.

We both were able to get new PB even though the track prep wasn't great and with temps in the low 80's the DA wasn't ideal at around 1,600-1,900 feet above sea level.

My previous best was a 12.91 @ 106.49 and I was able to run 12.78 @ 109+ MPH on four different runs along with a 12.80 @ 109+. My best was a 12.78 @ 109.86 MPH!!

His previous best was a 13.30 @ 102+ and he was able to run a 13.16 @ 104+

Here is the video. My car is the Race Red car and his is the Black one.

That's pretty remarkable....my 05GT had shorties, intake, or/x, axelback and a flash tune (stock gears). I ran a 12.87 @ 108 as my PB. I'd guess that car would dyno around 300. Amazing how 6 years later a V6 with the same mods runs the same is not better times. Congrats!

This title should catch more attention then my thread has! ;)

SO, who show's up to the track with over 1/2 tank of gas to do some racing?

<<<<THIS guy! Lmao! Idiot.... and of course I got wonderful mpg, 29.3, I couldn't get rid of the sh!t!

I can't wait to get these intakes ported so I can run beside you and not read your plates the whole way down the track! :D

I never realized these cars ran this good. To think that what you guys are running is faster than 90% of the stock 03/04 Cobras ran is crazy.

Why didnt you go to VMP? I would think thats alot closer for you. I'm in Hardy and it takes me 3 hours so you should be able to do it in about 2.

VMP is our "home track", but every damn time we plan to go, it rains, or it's a good chance of it in the forecast. For instance, we were (are) planning on going to Dinwiddie this coming Friday for their tnt, but the extended forecast is calling for rain! So Dad hit me up Saturday morning and asked if I was down for the ride. Helllllls yea! :)

I'm thinking/hoping that a night-time run would yield that magic number I'm chasing. Time is running out for that good air, then I'll just have to play on the skreets 'till fall.

Dude.. those are great freaking times... props..

Thanks!!

I was supposed to go to a track rental at MIR on 4/5/13 but it got rained out and rescheduled for 4/15/13 and I couldn't get off work that day (that got rained out too!).

My previous PB of 12.91 was done at MIR. I usually run at VMP in Petersburg but every time I'm off the wether doesn't cooperate!!

Thats faster then some of the 5.0 guys that can't drive.
Awesome!

Thanks!!

Yes, I have seen several new 5.0 that don't run as good as my car did because they can't drive or are having traction problems!!

Nice. Those 3.7s really have it in them.

Thanks!!

Our 3.7's have surprised quite a few people with how they run!!

What was the 1/8 et and mph? I want to take one of these cars back in time about 10 years and drag some asses. Im talking busting up 5.0's, 4.6's, LS1's, B Head Cobras, etc.
