I absolutely love my 2012 F150 Platinum. Friend has a fairly basic 12 F150 with Ecoboost & its one hell of a truck as well.

As others have said, I think you will see the extra money come back when its time to trade in again.

Hopefully going to pick up my new truck today. The dealership called back and said they had more flexibility on a 5.0. They cut the price, gave me a little more for my trade in, and as long as all the paperwork is EXACTLY as the sales manager and I agreed last night, I will have a brand new 2012 xlt 4x4 w/ the convenience package!

the msrp for that truck is 40570 if you can get out paying under 36500 before trade and taxes then you are doing great. There is about 1000 in incentives so if you can get the truck for 4000 under list thats great. The factory invoice is 37500 so minus 1000 in incentives gets you to the 36500

That being said with a budget of 36500...You can get a Ram 1500 sport crew cab 4x4 with leather seats, and the sport premium package for a msrp of 44325 with 3000 in incentives for about 36800. Thats much MORE truck for about the same $$$

if you want to save money a crew cab 4x4 big horn with moonroof, 6.5 inch touch screen, luxury and tech groups msrp 41620 with again 3000 in incentives can be had 34500. So again slightly more truck for 2000 less.

Now remember all prices I quoted are before your trade and taxes. I love ford as much as anyone on this site, but I cannot justify paying more for less

Yellow light is actually functional, and I have never liked the look of headlights and fog lights trying to match brightness/color and it not happening...

I will probably be trading in the ecoboost for a 13 ram. They're claiming 17-18 city 25 highway, air suspension, new 8 speed trans.
