F-150. Helped my sis in August get a '12 xlt 5.0 supercrew last month for $26,xxx before ttl. Sticker was $37,xxx. Best truck on the market right now. My buddy has a '12 hemi quad cab and it doesnt compare.

I need a 4x4 though and they all list for $40k+...

Sounds like a decent deal, but I can't do black. Too hard to keep clean.

Are the 100k mile warranties fully transferable?

I work at a coal fired power plant its not hard to. Keep clean lmao.
And yes..

The 5.0 is amazing. I honestly it pulls so well its like a mini diesel. The 5.3 and 6.0 felt gutless in all honesty.

When I bought mine I wasn't even looking at the f150 the new grills haven't grown on me yet. Drove the silverado MAX with 6.0 and it was okay driving normal uphill in tappahanock va it was at 3500rpm and down shifted to 3rd to 4200 to maintain the speed I was going. Didn't like that also the quad cab isn't big in the back.

Stopped by Ford and said what the he'll ill test one out. I gave it some gas and it pulled hard as hell, I also was going 60mph and turned radio off and told fiancé to stop talking and was amazed its completely silent inside like a imax theater. There is so much sound insulation in the cab I love it.

Went to myrtle beach this year went 75-80 the whole way on i95 and averaged 20.3mpg with a cab full of beach stuff and bags etc

Great truck want a quad cab 2wd now

You will easily get that $5k price difference back when it comes trade in or resale time.

I really like my 07 ram and have had zero trouble with it. The price I got it for was too good to pass up and I've had no regrets.

OP, have you thought about the certified pre-owned? Or do you absolutely have to have new? Sometimes CPO's can be cheaper. Sometimes they can be as expensive as new too, though. YMMV.

Dealer had a cpo f150 and it was still $31,000. Same as a new with the rebates...

X-plan pricing? Is that for a ford employee or something?

Is the price of the F-150 X-plan pricing?

Man, that is nice, but not in the price range. Going to a local dealer tomorrow to see how low they will go on a 4x4 Ecoboost super crew xlt. They have it discounted to $31,xxx already.

Yeah, that makes since, but for a work/ personal truck it's hard for me to justify buying a ford for so much more when I can get a new ram with a 100k mile warrenty...

Make sure you read that warranty. The factory warranty is 36k bumper to bumper and 36k on the powertrain (if you read it, Dodge pretty much defines the powertrain as engine only). I have a 2011 Dodge btw.

I test drove both the Ecoboost and 5.0 today, and fell in love with the Ecoboost. I would be happy with the 5.0, but the Ecoboost torque really threw you back for a truck.

Couldn't work out a deal with the dealership though and had to leave. They couldn't give me enough for my truck as a trade, and wouldn't come off the price any from their internet list price (even on a demo that a sales guy was driving w/ 2,750mi).

Wish I hadn't driven the Fords now because it looks like all I can afford is the Ram and it doesn't compare the the F150 w/ the convenience package (leather steering wheel, digital display, sync, power seats, power rear slide window, etc...)

Its not one of your choices but the Tundra is a great choice too. In Feb of 11 I was looking at F-150's (5.0's not ecoboost's none were out yet) and I went and drove a Tundra crewmax with the 5.7 and ended up liking it better. It had more power than the 5.0, a lot more room in its crew cab, and toyota moved a lot more off the price than ford was willing to. I had no complaints with my tundra other than it only having a 26 gallon tank. I just traded it in for a new 2012 Ram 2500 diesel because we are looking to get a 30-35 ft camper in the spring and i'd rather have a diesel to pull a camper. If this wasnt the case I would have kept the Tundra for a long time.

I've actually been very happy with my 2012 Ram. The interior is leaps and bounds above the previous generation and even for a base model it is on par with the Ford or better. Definitely a tough platform. I have yet to come across anything on the chassis that makes me cringe. Only thing I dislike about it is the short oil change interval, but I know how to fix that...

I wouldn't even consider the inferior Fiat truck or the Government Motors trucks.

I'll buy another F250/F350 within a year:

XLT Sport is a fairly rare model. I used to want one with the 3V V10.

I'm interested in driving a 2013 Ram with the updated chassis, H.O. Cummins, and Aisin tranny.

What is the deal with the major price hike in the 2013 f-150s. A friend of mine purchased a 2012 Eco FX4 fully loaded for around 35k. I made a trip to the dealership as I am in need of a work truck on the x-plan, and they had a fully loaded 13 Eco FX4 for an asking price of 54k

They must be trying to sell off the 2012 models to make way for the 2013's. I drove a fairly basic FX4(18's, cloth interior, no real add-ons) when they first came out with the 09's and it was an over $40K truck

I think I have almost the same truck but in silver. Only have 500 miles on it, but Ive heard about short oil change intervals. After 1 or 2 oil changes I will be doing a DPF and EGR delete to solve that problem.
