Especially a supercharger that doesnt see full boost until 7000rpm. I want to give up nothing.

lol, and I thought my ocd was bad

Next mod after this will be either a converter or E85, depending if that DW400 drop in pump hits the market and actually works and keeps up with demand.

this is kind of a toss up imo, because you are cutting some decent, not great but decent, 60' times. Thing is you typically would want to base your converter/gears based on your final goals so if E85 is in your plans I would start with that.

I dont know at what RPM procharger rates their stage 2 kit 10psi number. Online blower calculators show blower speed at 7000 right around 48500rpm. Im spinning my blower a few thousand more than that due to my manifold, I dont expect my boost to be over 1psi lower than stock rating at such high RPMs. I think my reason of concern is quite valid, maybe it isnt an external part, maybe its just the way the tuner is swinging the cams, but he did swing them for me to increase the boost and still wouldnt see much above 9psi. Then I deleted the cats.

I spoke to Circle D last week, they recommended (when Im ready) the 2C since I want to make sure car behaves well on the street, stall would be around 2800 for that converter. Future mods will be E85 and maybe a D1x. I think I can get into the 1.40s 60ft with a converter which is 2 tenths down from my current best. Tuner wants me to make a solid pass before saying there isnt anything more to be gained from a revision. On that 10.63 pass I hit the limiter in 1st and shifted into 5th shortly after going into 4th, my mistake by tapping the paddle shifter on the launch. So I was shifting myself the whole way down the track. lol.

boost pressure is simply a measure of restriction, why you would want to change the cam timing to get MORE boost pressure is a little backwards. You WANT the 5.0 liter air pump to take in as much of that compressed air as possible, not see a pressure number just to see it. As you make the engine/exhaust more efficient you will actually see less boost pressure, albeit only marginally less. Just sayin....

We'll see what happens next. Proof will be in the logs and backed up by track numbers.

a 3mph trap speed increase might have Bill thinking that pro-flo is Bunk, haha!

LOL. Didnt mean it as "it will work", I meant it as no matter the result, Ill be able to see it on logs, tracks numbers and my mechanical gauge.

Ill also check my manifold for leaks this weekend.

you mention you are using a boost box to track boost, what device are you using exactly? I've just got a mechanical gauge but unless I video tape my runs from the inside its hard to tell what boost pressure I'm running.

Lund’s boost box. Takes a manifold signal and transfer it to the back of the nguage.

Well!!! If I wasn’t believer before I’m a believer now!

3 pictures attached att marked at around 7300. The before is a 3rd year pull and you can see 8.1psi, after is a 3rd and a 4th to validate that it holds even at higher speeds, both show 11psi at 7300

wow , nice fix how much flange work did they have to do to upgrade the bov- or was it a simple swap - I never had any boost leaks with my stock procharger bov pro flo but when I down pulleyed I upgraded to a big red open and the car actually drove better with no surge at all . on the stock 4.63 pulley on the dyno I would see 11.6 @ 7400 rpm.(500 da +/-) I was also trapping 136.xx mph

They capped the original location and made a new one that points straight up. They were surprised at how well it fit under the radiator cover.
