Did you see that one? I dont know what part of indiana you are in but that sounds like quite the steal for $1k even if the body is in rough shape.

FYI too, there are people doing part outs all the ****ing time, so anything that annoys you, just hop on CL or ecmlink forums (which I believe is now open to public) and buy some shit for cheap. Me and my buddies used to make quite the money off of full partouts, people in rust areas pay $20-30 for some of the stupidest brackets or bolts.

Nope but I did now! Im about 2 hours from them.

I sent them a email for pictures and see about trading items.

Yes i live in the rust belt. Sucks!

After some down time at work I think I really want to just get a fox body and install a engine and turbo it.

I would like a 4.6 but I am open to other engine combos.

I can't believe how many fox bodys are on craiglist right now for under $1500!

how about a ThunderBird turbo coupe?
also, if you could find one, a 91+ escort GT with the DOHC 1.8 is very easy to put a turbo on.

^Thunderbird TC or SVO mustangs can actually be found for relatively cheap.

Have you thought about Z31 Nissan 300zx? I have owned a few and drove them all to over 300k miles before they all died. You can push them pretty hard too. I'm working on a 84' turbo z31 drift project. Bought the car for $250, drove it for 2 years and now I'm gutting it and going to race it in all its rusty glory.

Never have thought about one of those.

So we've went from $1,500 cars to spending $15,000 with big cubic inch setups? Because cammed V8 is somehow sleeper status even in small cubic inch form? How about no.

As for the mention of a SVO Foxbody, I've never seen one in good condition in the $1,500 range. Hell I've not seen any that was in rough, but drivable condition for $1,500.

What about an old Galant VR4? May not be able to find one for 1500 bucks though...

I think I decided I want to go with a Foxbody.

I find decent rollers all over for $1000-$1500 and some already have minor mods to them.
I wanted to do a 4.6 but power is meh
Going against what I want to do but the 5.3L sounds like the way to do.

Didn't realize you were just looking for rollers. I thought your entire budget for a "running" car was $1500 and then you were gonna mod it with a cheap turbo. If you're just looking for a shell, I'm sure you can find a lot in that price range that are not running or without a drive train.

It sounds like your trying to do some sort of rat rod in terms of big money drive train and low budget body.

enough to where if im lined up against one and know its gonna happen at the light. the GTP badge is right there on the door. big bold chrome letters too. cant miss it. and i believe it states supercharged right under the big GTP.

Get the Regal GS instead. Nobody pays mine any attention, until I'm out in front and they can't get around me. Rides better than the GTP too.
