Seems like your second setup was the best one (as far as power goes)

Haven't been to the track but easy 12's at 110 shouldn't be a problem.

I'm getting an aero kit, stealthy hood, and sticker bomb planned out to try and hit 8's@150. I've got a custom hood spoiler I'm working on for the stealth hood. Hoping to gain 3.85whp from the ram air and extra traction/downforce.

Currently, I have a graphic force inception turbo, it runs loud and discharges tons of boost. I'll be taking some time to figure out how to run the boost through the intake manifold soon.

(All times 1/8th mile in kmh like a baus.)

Does anyone know who makes that intake pipe I'd like to do that on my car.

I haven't seen a manufactured piece but they aren't too difficult to fab up. I know this one was fabbed out of stainless, and honestly, a decent welder/machine shop should be able to make one.

I'm thinking to have a new one fabbed because this one was designed for a 4.6 and doesn't fit as cleanly on my 5.4 swap.

Here's more pics to get an idea of how it was fabbed.

(at the throttle body, drivers side, bung for egr/et al)

(The "collector"? is mainly 2 welded flat pieces. The center sections top and bottom were cut to size, and I'm assuming the edges which are ~180* each were originally 4" stainless piping that was cut in roughly the middle then sanded until the angle opened up enough for the application to fit a throttle body plenum so roughly 165* on each half section

You can see from this angle how the individual inlet feeds and "collector?" pieces were matched up with relatively even placed welds. I believe the inlet feeds are both 4" stainless piping that was mandrel bent as I did not find a weld seem on the under side of them.

It's relatively simple from there. It's a great design and I love the look but it's slightly off center on my 5.4 swap, and also was slightly (but less) off center on the original 4.6 setup. I'm mainly thinking to have it redone because of the welds, which aren't bad but could be neater, and because the 5.4 sits higher than a 4.6 by 3" roughly so I could run a shorter hood if the inlet itself had about 15-20* more downward slope. And tucked neater by 2" near the bumper.

The tt/dual inlet leaves a great placement for fully recirculating twin bov's. Linked to the large fmic (not sure of brand) and cooled via a canton routed/catch canned tank, the combo stays very cold, iat's stayed in the 60's during a 3hr dyno tuning session in 90* July heat up here at 4300ft, low oxygen and high heat usually has eaton cobras hitting 140* iat's within 3-5 back to back pulls in July for comparison.

Here's the top side catch can and coolant tank.

Pm me if you'd like some measurements, it's designed for the 4.6 so the measurements should be relatively universal to any terminator/4.6 4v but remember you'll need to do the coolant tank simultaneously as it has to be relocated.

If I have a new one fabbed for my 5.4 application, I could sell you this one for a bargain.

IDK man if my calculations are correct I'm seeing a gain of 1.758 HP per sticker. The hood/spoiler combo, especially if sitting extremely high, good for 12.1hp. I'd shoot for 7's

that was with milled heads with GT cams, 9.7:1 compression and a billet wheel turbo.....this last setup is with a factory longblock, i wanted to see how much power i could make reliably with a stock motor.

Hell yes I should. I bet it could do 8's with just 20psi, I've got upto 200psi on the 14 volt air compressor I keep charged in the glove box... Lets just say with 100psi in my tires, it just spin to 80 and leave it at that. Too much power.

9y3e4aju.jpg

I even put a new kompreasor badge on so probably 2.3hp there also.

If you can lose 50-100 degrees of iat, you should gain boat loads of power, 30-40whp at least with 60* iat's vs 160's IMO. good luck!
