Im going to PM Chuxsvt, his brother has some very nice Cobra and SVT tattoos...

What is the deal with everyone liking Jap tats? I just don't get it? Are you part Japanese? Can you read or write Japanese? Even if you can, not everyone walking around is going to be like, "Oh thats the jap symbol for xxxxx", and isnt that the whole point 99% of the time, to show off to everyone what you are about, what you like, or what you stand for?

Which also leads me to the next thing, what is the point of getting it if its not visible? If no one will see it, why waste the money?...

Not knocking you guys, (I won't even get a tattoo, I've always thought I would regret it later in life), but this Japanese thing annoys me, its a pet peeve lol. If you want to show pride show American Pride IMO... Stan

I think the Japanese tattoos are popular because they have great design to them. It looks much cooler than something written in English... which makes me wonder... Do Japanese get tattoos written in English, the same way... lol

And most people get tattoos that have meaning. Not to show them to every person, but to remind them of something when they look at it... And some of us who plan on having office/higher end jobs, not having visible tattoos is pretty critical. So for someone who really wants one but doesn't want to have it to revealing then getting it under shirt/pants lines is a good place. At least this IMO on the subject.

The picture you posted sort of looks like the pictures that those child predator pervs send to 13 year old kids. Probably just because its a webcam pic.

BTW, not saying that you are a predator, just trying to help.

I got a japanese style tattoo because it stood for a virtue I believed in. Everything is "played out" to someone. As far as getting tattoos that are visible...sleeves would sure be nice, but 80% of employers wouldn't be all about that. I didn't get a tattoo for someone else to see, and I think thats a ridiculous reason to get one. I don't give 2 shits what someone else thinks of my tattoo. I'm the one wearing and living with it, not them. To me barbed wire, crosses and suns are about as trendy as it gets, but to some others they have personal meanings, and thats good. Thats the great thing about a tattoo, you can get whatever the hell you want (unless you are in prison and receive one unwillingly...recent thread). I know a guy who got F!ck the World in 4" letters across his back. It was pretty cool for about 10 minutes, then he wondered what the hell he just did. Now he has to live with it for the rest of his life.

That is a pretty badass tattoo. If I had enough of a nest egg like many celebs/athletes do, I would get myself a sleeve or two for sure. Until then I'll keep handing out mushroom tattoos!

Could you possibly have a more childish and offensive avatar?!

Clean it up! This is an SVT Forum not a porn site!

Considering how much Van Halen sucks, I find yours more offensive than his.

I know that mine are typical of a girl...but I wanted to share...the first one is one that I had gotten on my 18th birthday that I had drawn up myself (sorry for the bad picture quality). The second one is one that I found on www.tattoojohnny.com there are some pretty neat tattoos there, even though you have to buy them, they are fairly cheap, and you get a color and an outline version to take to the artist. The size is about 5"x5", it took about an hr for the outline, and about another 4.5 hrs to finish it off, two total sittings. The third one is an idea I threw together myself that I am thinking about getting sometime. It still needs some color thrown in.

I personally think though, that drawing your own tattoos are the best; and if you cant draw all to well, you could always have somebody do it for you, or else just take it to your artist and they may tweak it a bit for you to make it look how you want. If that isnt something you are really into, then try looking online for something that you really like or means something to you. I just dont think its best to rush into getting a tattoo. If you find something, keep looking, just to make sure that what you found is really what you want. Being 19, my mother, as well as many other people, think that I am really going to regret my decisions on getting tattoos, but it is YOUR body, so do what YOU want. Just my .02 cents :rolling:
