The highest we’ve been so far is 1,283 hp, with 26 pounds of boost and the larger GT35R’s with pump gas and methanol injection.”"

Saw that at PRI.
Was laughing out loud when I saw Maf placement vs BOV.

you have about a foot of straight pipe and the maf is centered there. Should be able to get a pretty good signal there.

Dave @ Armageddon said the resolution has been great and 0 issues with their tune.

I get that it comes with a programmer and injectors, that's about $1100 worth of parts. But that price though!!!!

I do have a little time for that AC line though, I'd like that

Def true. I do plan on switching to garret turbos eventually, or possibly comps with SS Tial housings.

I still think it's priced out of the market though. I think the Hellion kit at $7500 is very fair and accurate. I can't see guys spending 50% of what the car costs to buy a turbo kit, where you still need to install it, BAP, Exhaust to be able to utilize it. It's basically 15k to get that kit and supporting mods, install it all and get it tuned.

Yeah, that's what you told Notchy444 when I was tuning his BeefCake Paxton setup with Twin BOV's.

Here's a part throttle log of Notchy444's car with Maf Frequency using the setup you sold him with one BOV 'about a foot' away from the Maf sensor:

Here's a part throttle log 4 days later with that Bov blocked off: (Still not as clean as we later got it with Tial BOV and a new elbow)

My official assessment is proper BOV to Maf sensor location is CRITICAL for drivability. At WOT it does not matter as the BOV is closed.

no, that's not what I told him. the shop that installed his setup put his blow off on the same tube as the maf right up on it.

the maf blow off should have been on the bend by the intercooler.

here, you have the blow off, then about 8" of straight pipe, the bend, and then another 6" or so of straight pipe.

Yes, they did put the BOV in the bend just before the Maf.

IMO all BOV's should be PRE-intercooler to buffer the Maf sensor from pressure waves created by the BOV.

I have 0 issues with it on the bend. My car ran that way for 1 1/2 years, and we have done multiple customer cars that wanted dual bov's and Lund has had 0 issues tuning them.

Just as the wastegate is on that same bend and the car drives like butter.

Yep, all the top notch kits I have seen, always have the BOV pre-intercooler.

It has nice components, but saying it has the best of everything is debatable. More a matter of preference on the Wastegates and Turbos. Also, for all out, the Procharger BOV is better.

You can't go wrong with any of the Big Turbos, Garrett, Precision, Borg Warner.
