In memory of..

The great Yogi Berra has passed at the age of 90. As well as being one of baseball's greatest catchers, he was known for funny sayings. I don't think he meant for them to be funny, I think it was just his outlook on life. What was your favorite Yogi quote? Mine is "When you get to the fork in the road, take it!" God bless you Yogi. Rest in peace.

A great man for a great sport. I would have loved to see him play in his prime, an all time great. My favorite quote would have to be "Baseball is 90 percent mental. The other half is physical." RIP Yogi.

Damn! I'm sorry, I didn't see your post, and I posted one about him too. Either way, only one person responded. I guess everyone's so young, they don't know who he is.

Here are a few Mary. Gee I wish I could last until ninety. But only If I was only twenty. (That's not one of his. It's mine)

here's his

11 “You can observe a lot just by watching.”

10 “Nobody goes to Coney Island anymore, it's too crowded.”

09 “Never answer an anonymous letter.”

08 “If you don't set goals, you can't regret not reaching them.”

07 “The future ain't what it used to be.”

06 “Always go to other people's funerals; otherwise they won't go to yours.”

05 “It gets late early out there.”

04 “I always thought that record would stand until it was broken.”

03 “Baseball is 90% mental, the other half is physical.”

02 “It's like deja vu all over again.”

01 “I never said most of the things I said.”

Truly a legend. Goes back to when professional sports were primarily about the competition, not the press.

RIP.

The great Yogi Berra. I heard this news last night. So sad to see a legend like Yogi pass. He was a great man. He was a funny man.

When I first saw the headline I had not completely awoken, I thought a cartoon bear died.
