The Car Show at the Iowa Speedway will be Saturday September 17th. I would like to get as many mustangs together as possible and cruise in together. I don't have a lot of details yet, but they finally posted up the date.

My plan would be (weather permitting), to meet at Prairie Meadows in Altoona (casino) and get everyone together and cruise up to the speedway so we can park as many mustangs together as possible. I am not quite sure of all the details, entry fee etc, but the last couple of years it has been like $20. I would like to meet at PM between 9:30-10am and head to the Speedway at 10am

This would a good time to bring out friends and family and just hang out.

No Problem. I sent and email to the MCOCI, they usually will send it out to there members, but if not, can you try and put the word out on any of the events you may attend?

Hey Corey! I had plans for that weekend but they fell through so ill be there, my car is getting subframes put in next week so hopefully it will be done. My dad just bought a 99 GT vert so we will probably have two cars. I'll talk to Jake and see it he wants to bring the lightning again. Also we thought about staying sat night, PM has a hotel right?

They have a Hotel, but it isn't finished yet.

There are a couple hotels right around it, or there are a few in Newton around the speedway.

Altoona:
1. Settle Inn (nice - They also Have Theme Rooms)
2. Adventureland Inn (nice with a nice Pool)
3. Holiday Inn Express (only a couple years old)
4. Motel 6 (pretty Nice)
5. Howard Johnson Express Inn (?)
6. Hearland Inn Altoona (? just remodeled)

We are going to meet in Altoona and then Cruise to the Speedway (about 20 min). It would probably be a little closer for you guys to stay in Newton, unless you want to go to the Casino after wards.

I heard there's supposed be an airshow there after the car show this year...wonder what that will consist. Actually seems like there might be a chance for a decent turn out as long as the weather cooperates.

Hey Corey, this is Luke, I had the white fox in the cruise last year.

I don't think ill be able to make it but Dan said he might go. He's made quite a bit of progress on the car. The 5 speed conversion and nitrous kit should be on the car by then, so hopefully he'll make it.

Sounds Good, I think he is doing everything to that car that I wanted to do.
I will have to send him a text as we get closer to see if he is going to make it.

I will have to keep you screen name around so I can send you some stuff, dont know if you saw anything about our cruise to Council Bluffs, but we had a great turn out this year.

Landon, the air show is called Fly Iowa or something like that, and is supposed to be taking place during the day. They are also going to have a shuttle from the Track to the Airport if you want to go check out the planes.

Every time I watch the video, I comment to myself on how good that car sounds!
