With a beatdown like that was given to that family, why wasn't the suspects cuffed,thrown in the back of the squad car and hauled off to jail right then and there? Ticketed and released on the spot?? The minute the father was told he shouldn't be there,wouldn't make it out there, or whatever was said, it became a hate crime. If it was whites that did that to a black family, the media, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would be all over this. Its funny that someone who lives near there posted that they watch the news every day and this was the first that they heard of this story......

Did a few towers in Baton Rouge, place is disgusting. Me and my buddy wanted to go to the casino but couldn't take the company truck so we took the city bus(gross) and then a cab, on the way back to our hotel we decided to stop at this mall...ended up being the wrong mall. We had to walk 9 miles back, the bus driver would never stop for us just honk and never slow down, passed us 3 times during his route and then it stops running at dusk, ya awesome city.

Such a barbaric act, absent from the charges are penalty for the long lasting emotional scaring on the kids/wife, and probably husband. I don't think a gun would have helped this guy unless it was being held by someone more capable.
