How to quiet your '03/'04 Cobra shifter (other Mustangs, too)

Not sure if this will cure my problem--I have a Pro 5.0 in my 03 Cobra, I get a squeek when I shift from 1st to 2nd and 3rd to 4th (basically when I pull back on the gear shift). Think your gaskets will help ?????

If the noise is from the actual shifter it may not help. The gasket set primarily helps isolate noise from the tranny. It will, of course, make for a cleaner and easier subsequent shifter removal/install. It's a very expensive mod so give it a shot.

I dont know if I need the gaskets or not. Answer me this guys my shifter makes noises also but at ilde I can hear the noise and at rpm's I hear it louder, when I push the clutch in it stops either way (ilde or rpm's), So is it a throw out bearing or shifter rattle???

That doesn't sound like transmission gear noise. The gasket set will help, though, so I do recommend it. Cheap mod at only $10. shipped.

I just installed these on my 03 today. I could tell a huge difference right when I started driving. very easy install. very cheap and very very effective. Just the way I like it. I think its the best bang for your buck mod you can do. thats my honest opinion. Im very happy I bought these. Go Cobra BOB !!!!!!

Bob, I just ordered the gasket and now I read CA has slow mail delivery. I should have known, my "X" works for the Postal Service. But good things happen, I now have a 03 Cobra and NOT her!
