With the KC, you don't need 100+ octane. :coolman: :poke:

well, depends on boost levels. A killer chiller will only lower IATs. You still need the higher octane to run more boost and more advanced timing. The gas is the main factor preventing pre-ignition/detonation.

Actually with the cobra we were able to run 20 lbs @ 19 degrees of timing on 91 pump gas using the KC. If we turned off the KC it would pull as much as 7 degrees timing. The cold air charge works to stave off detonation. If you go with higher octane you still have to deal with the ECU pulling timing due to high AIT2s...Ideally it would be nice to run both tho.

We just picked up a 2012 GT500 with a stage 2 VMP running a 2.4 pulley. We're going to log the ait-1, ait-2, and the IC fluid temps along with timing for part throttle and WOT, and then install the KC. We're going to do a before and after analysis with dyno's to show the KC's overall effectiveness.
