While I believe the Resurrection of Jesus is an important event, I put forth that his Death is of greater importance. You see, his Resurrection was guaranteed, his Father promised him that. What was not guaranteed was his willing sacrifice for us. It was not a forgone conclusion that he would sacrifice himself for us, if it had been, then there would have been no purpose in Satan tempting him 3 times. Both Adam and Eve were created as perfect humans, yet they succumbed to the temptations of the Devil. Jesus also had free will and could have fallen to the temptations set before him. But he did not. He sacrificed his life for us. That is the most important event. For without it, there would have been no Resurrection.
