I will not put a front plate on my Cobra. Just can't bring myself to get holes drilled in a perfectly bad ass looking car. Besides, it doesn't get driven enough to worry about it.

For those of you in Texas.....New laws coming. Don't drill holes

Does anybody know if the Texas bill passed or not? I'd be interested in learning for sure which way it turned out.

Got pulled over for it once had the trooper write the infraction down on the registration and I said I don't want to screw up the front of the car with a plate, the trooper then said "nice car" then sent us on our way. The plates were due the next month so we got a new registration with the new plates.

Keep the front plate under your seat or behind the pass seat pocket. Smell a cop..., put it in the front windsheild on the dash.

Just thought I'd let you guys know what state I'm from. I'm honestly not sure of the laws but I've done the "WINDSHIELD" thing many times and never been hassled about it.

No front plate in New York, while driving a Cobra vert with an exhuast system is like stopping a cop and asking for a ticket. I hate the plate up front but would rather keep the money for mods!

Visit your local Lowes or Home Depot. They have the plugs you need to fill in your bumper. You might want to get some touch up paint for your car and paint them, they should just "clip" right in.

I put the drill-less bracket on mine yesterday. I don't like having a front plate, but Hawaii is anal about this and it is a $90 fine. I found my bracket here and got it shipped to my house for $38.00.

I don't have a front plate and still haven't got pulled over, yet. I don't city cops and sheriffs care too much about it. Its the state police that gets you.

I watched oncoming traffic near Placerville, California (east of Sacramento, in the Sierra Nevada) for four miles yesterday and counted 32 cars/trucks with no front license plate. This was the opposite direction from the commute (light traffic direction). I have never seen a corvette with a front license plate in this part of California (except for out of state ones). I really don't think it is enforced very heavily around here. None-the-less, my drill-less front plate bracket (to be placed in the trunk until I need it) is on the way through e-bay.
