Let me guess you don't know much mechanically regarding these cars? That "MESS" of wires in the trunk is actually a wire upgrade for the fuel system. 8 gauge was run from the distribution box under the hood to the BAP/fpdm. this helps lower the fuel pump duty cycle which is a GOOD THING.
How do these haters get "BEAT the shit out of it" from those pictures?

Because you can't read, the seller listed as it smoking, the tore up dr's and well for me the BaP and stick axle conversion. Besides the BaP is a crutch

Don't let the haters in this thread get you down. Half of them are the guys trying to buy cobras around here for next to nothing so they can fix them and flip them for a huge profit. They are just mad that you put it on ebay where more people can bid on it as opposed to the narrow market on here where they can scoop up the deals like this.

I see major potential with this car. Great for someone who must have a Cobra but wants to really build it up. The motor likely needs attention, so its ripe for a rebuild with even better internals and throw on a big blower. It already has a solid rear, so thats a plus for people who want to either just roll race it or drag (or really go all out with a road race solid rear setup). Paint is in good condition. Seats and carpet can be shampoo'd/detailed back to new in a weekends time.

You could get this car for $12k, put another $10k into it and rape cars that people have spent $30k on easy, and still have a clean title cobra. Who wouldnt jump on the chance to have a 600-700whp 03/04 for the same amount invested as most people buy stock/bolton ones for? Or you could pick this up for $12k, put another grand or two into it, freshen up the motor, new tires, and have some bolton fun for $15k.

Ok. So lets say the car most likely has a bad bottom end.
Easily thats a 3k fix. Most likely it needs bored out. New .20 over pistons. All new bearings. New Oil pump. Gaskets. Def throw headstuds in it while its apart. Hopefully The crank is ok. Plus fluids and filters. Even if u put it together yourself. Thats 2500-3k depending. Plus 600 in just new rear tires. God knows what else is wrong with it. Clutch. Irs bushings. Ect. If i cant fix that car for 2k, you have no shot. Build/fix it righr the first time or be prepared to get ur ass ripped by the buyer.

$1000 - used terminator shortblock
$350 - gasket kit
$300 - BFG KDW tires

$1650 and turn some wrenches. Still leaves $350 for bushing or fluids or w/e else.

then sell the shortblock pieces that you pull out of it that are good.

While im not a fan of solid rear cars, this car to me, was driven like a Cobra should as far as drag purposes go. Sure, DR's + Solid Rear likely mean it was a dragstrip car but whoever is going to buy this is likely to use it in the same fashion so nothing lost there. We all know how prone these cars are to improper PTW clearance issues when running aggressive tunes so IMO the engine smoking sounds just like that, rear cylinders need attention. Block can be bored/honed down, new (better) pistons installed with oversize rings and new internal bearings and such and call it done.

Rats nest of wires is a hour fix. Yank it, start over.

i wouldnt touch that car for 12k.. No way. If the motor was beat on like it was, trans is next. you dont put a bap on a stock blower car with stock injectors. probably had a kb or whipple then yanked it and sold it after engine problems. Either way still needs a new long block at most. Looks clean in picks but you will never know until you see the car in person. And the fact the spoiler is cracked. Also doesnt have Cobra front brakes, looks like bulitt or mach 1 calipers
