What do you guys think? 03 Redfire with 36k miles for 22,900$. Do you think this is a good deal or should I continue to hold out? I am going to send them an offer.

Offer $20K. Mine had 31K miles on it and I offered $20K. THey were asking 23,700. THey came back with 21,500. I said 20K. They finally broke down and gave it to me. Be real firm. Throw in the if you give it to me for my price I will take this car off your hands right now. It'll work.

I think 21 or 22 is reasonable. Is that car at a dealership or is it private owner. I am sure you know all the questions to ask but a little more info would be helpfull.

Redfire is a great color

get an oasis report on the car as well as a carfax. oasis will tell you its ford history and the build date. for an 03 you want a late build.

If it's a 2003, you want a build date after October 2002. Mine is like
November 27,2002. They shut down production in early October and then
started back up again in mid October.
The Cobra you're looking at did only 7,200 miles a year. Not bad.
The early Cobra's got green colored antifreeze in the heat exchanger
and after the tick fix, they seemed to get yellow colored.

Build dates aren't definitive on the tick. I have a 3/03 build date with the "blue stripe" heads and tick's been there since break in. OASIS will let you know if anythings been done from Ford to address the little problems (tick, chassis creaks, clutch, accelerator pedal are the known/big issues. 20-22K for a clean used 03 from a dealer is a decent price if the car is clean. Good luck!

How awsome is it that you can pick up a clean low mile one of Fords baddest Mustangs to date for $20k

I don't understand why anyone would ever buy and mod a pre 03 Cobra again, mach 1's included

post some pix when ya get!

Mach's are beautiful in their own right and are very formidable force with very light modding to them. Plus you can pick them up for a pretty good bargain too.

Yeah mach's aren't all that bad, hell there is an 03 dsg mach for sale with full exhaust, 4.10's and a procharger..... but I want a terminator not a mach 1 that could maybe keep up with a pullied cobra.
