I would still have to say that probably the most riciest game of them all had the best engine and exhaust sounds of all time. NFS 2 Underground. Bash all you want but it is true, the car's sounded pretty damn close to how they sound in real life.
I prefer arcade racing...
uhhhh...not really...they really start to sound like crap when you mod them...sounds nothing like they should...no game on either system has actually managed to get car sounds correct.
How are any of the GT games simulations? You can slam into a wall at 200 mph and drive away like it's nothing.

are you kidding me??? they record the actual exhaust note of the cars on a dynoe, you tard!!!If you guys are impressed with this game then you will be blown away with Gran Turismo 5. Every car will have their respective engine sound. Alot of surprises too, stay tuned.
Simulation>Arcade
hardly. if you want to play a REAL SIM then your only options are on computer(live for speed, rFactor, etc.). both the GT and FM series are FAR from arcade, but they are far more forgiving than a real sim, such as the aformentioned, also. GT5(p) is DEFINATLY not "as close as you can get".It's a simulator because the driving physics and details are about as close as you can get when transferring from real life to computer.
Forza 3 is simulation, not arcade, FYI.
let me guess, you only watched the CGI, right? take at look at the in game vids.
not sure what vid you just watched.

BTW, if you consider the forza motorsport games arcade, then what do you call gran turismo 4?

look at those donuts and powerslides in that mustang, so realistic.

didnt watch the whole video, but i came back to it when it loaded all the way and watched the end part. and he is plain wrong on the dualshock controller being the same as driving with DFP wheel. DFP wheel you have more control especially with throttle response.are you kidding me??? they record the actual exhaust note of the cars on a dynoe, you tard!!!

Here is the wheel that will work with Forza, October can't come soon enough. Also, rumored car list added to the original post. If the 93 Cobra R is real, I may just have to take the day off work on release day.
fanatec | Forza Motorsport
That wheel will still work, but the fanatec has a true 900 degree wheel motion compared to I think 300 for the ms wheel. Plus you can get a gated 6 speed shifter with clutch pedal. Finally you will be able to dump the clutch. I will be selling my MS wheel for the fanatec as soon as I can.I cant view what you posted at work but I hope its the same one as this one and if not I hope this will still work on FM3 Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sorry for a wiki link but its the only thing I could find that I view at work.
