Push the Platform? What platform. It's a one off race car.
Based on an S650 Platform.
And it is a street car.
The fact that it meets emissions standards and has a warranty is somewhat remarkable.
It also has passed durability tests that are required for a production car.
This is not a "racecar".
Although no doubt, some will find a way to race. it

Remember when Ford built desirable cars for the blue collar man?

I have no interest in a Ecoboost mustang. Guess I should've worked harder.

They build plenty of cars for the blue collar man. I sell to Ford blue collar employees every damn day.

Sorry, a halo car isn't a blue collar man's car.

What is the Mustang GT, Dark Horse, GT350, GT500, Raptor, RS, ST? All of those cars fall or fell onto varying price ranges for blue collar people.

It's an S650 pulled off the assembly line. It's just like every other Ford Performance vehicle, but with a greater level of changes than anything previous to it. Did they mention somewhere in the release that this has a space frame or a completely new chassis? No, they didn't.
Its a production body in white...that then gets completely stripped, gutted, and back halved. The windshield is probably the only thing interchangable after Multimatic does their magic. Whereas the GT3 parts should mostly all bolt onto a street car from my understanding.

This isn’t a halo car, that would be the GT/GT40.

This is a hell no car built for YouTube phaggots.

$300k cars that this is priced against:

Aston Martin DBS, DB11 Vantage V12
McLaren 720s, GT
Porsche 911 GT3 RS
Ferrari F8
Lamborghini Huracan
And more

A coat hanger can bring out the kid in you.

This is a halo car. Maybe you missed that.

720S Ring time was like 7:08-09...Ford is shooting for sub 7 with this car. 3RS ran a 6:49, that's what they're competing against. A Vantage was like 8 minutes haha

Go get bent about something else.

This is no RUF Porsche 911. This is a pretty fun pony car with questionable build quality. This is a halo turd.

How is expressing an opinion “getting bent”?

Is Ford selling this to anyone or are they requiring social media exposure as a credential on the application?

Anyone.

Social media isn't a requirement.

So $70k+ is now "blue collar".

Oh what a time to be alive.

It very much is in today's standards. There's plenty of blue collar people making over $100k/year that can and do make those purchases all day long, and for people who make less there are other options.

Where is this info on how it's built and assembled that you are stating? I haven't seen anything about that yet.

Was it not in one of the main release videos? I have not watched a ton of videos on this, and "body in white" off the production line was specifically stated somewhere.
I'll find it...

This article states it: 2025 Ford Mustang GTD Is a $300,000 Thoroughbred
Designed and engineered by Ford Performance and Multimatic, the GTD starts life as a body-in-white run-of-the-mill Mustang that leaves the model's Flat Rock, Michigan plant and heads north toward Multimatic’s factory in the Canadian province of Ontario. From there, the rear of the Mustang shell undergoes surgery to fit the GTD's transaxle, which contains a Tremec eight-speed dual-clutch transaxle. A transaxle cooler mounted onto the trunk lid chills the gearbox.
