Yes but anything to do with straight line power, especially adding to what it already made was never a glimmer of thought in the design of the car and no, they did not care what people thought about that. The car was built for racing and that's it. The road going GT was built because they had to.Right. It was "look at how cool EcoBoost is". Never a fit for a supercar in my opinion. Off the showroom floor performance is good, but it lacks the same potential as a larger displacement engine. Case in point is the standing mile record holding Ford GT. Not a V6.
It was a very different car and intention than what the 05/06 was. It was not built for the people, even though they ended up selling a lot more than initially planned.
