Foo Fighters > Nirvana.

Dave Grohl not only has escaped the shadow of Kurt Cobain and Nirvana, but I think his band will go down in history as a way better band overall.

Discuss.

You feeling alright, Walter? You think that the Foo Fighters are better then Nirvana?

I love both of them, but I think that Nirvana has the win by far! Think about all of their hits compared to the Foo Fighters.

It really comes down to preferance though.

Foo Fighters are great but will never be as worldwide famous as Nirvana.

Why is this a discussion? Cobain was a whiny bitch in his music.

Oh and suicide doesn't make a great band.

Nirvana's fame skyrocketed after Kurt Cobain committed suicide. Had that not happened, they would have eventually went away and been remembered on the same level as Alice in Chains or Pearl Jam (even though Pearl Jam is still going).

I like both foo fighters and nirvana. I am going to have to go with foo fighters as the better band. The majority might not agree now, but eventually I think they will.

never was really a fan of nirvana. maybe because the radio stations seem to overplay all their stuff and i get sick of hearing all the same songs. i can only hear the riff to teen spirit so many times before i cant stand it anymore.

cant say im a huge fan of the foo fighters either. but nirvana has always been overrated IMO.

Big fan of the Foo Fighters. Never been a fan of Nirvana. Reminds me of grown dudes with long blonde hair and headbanging...

Nirvana is one of the greatest bands of all time. Nervermind is one of the top10 best CDs ever. Dave is an awesome drummer but the Foo are average at best.

Foo, IMO is the better band, but Dave Grohl is gonna have to blow his head off for them to go down as better than Nirvana.

Nirvana wouldn't be 1/2 as legendary if Kurt was still alive today

Nevermind sounds as good today as it did in 1991 and it will sound good 20 years from now too. I doubt the Foo will fare as well..
