I’m no builder myself but talking to Jordan at MHS and Jonboy at TKM, I feel super confident in my setup.

Your setup @BUNKY already seems to be top notch.

I’m also in the process of doing the CTSV 6 piston caliper swap.

You do have to do a lot of grinding though. Just be aware of that fact.

What is the cost for the ctsv 6 pistons with parts compared to the cheap swap for the ats 4 pistons?
I have always wandered how this setup performs as I only knew of moochs car with them. Or is there a good write up on them somewhere?

Bracket was $540
Pistons are $700
Stainless steel lines $100
Plus you need to grind/cut your spindles

DSS T-56 Magnum spec aluminum driveshaft showed up today. And Cobraphil got me into using all brand new “low pro” 316 SS hardware throughout the car.

Definitely a solid piece after looking at it.

Another parts drop,

KMJ starter & timkin front spindle bearings. I already can’t wait to see how this car drives and sounds. Happy Wednesday gents. By the way CCW’s website sells these stickers at a “good” price. These stickers ran me $50 shipped to cali.

Dark charcoal real alcantara shifter boot and e-brake boot from Redline goods. It was time to replace that old leather.

There is a huge write up on the parts and mods along with the how-to do it. The thread starter is Godstang.
Here is the link.
Ken

Not to be that guy but the CTS-V 6 pistons are a whole different animal when it comes to fitting them. I have yet to find something half decent for a write up on fitting the 6 pistons; as most are rather vague and just mention needing spindles ground. I had heard that the issue of clearance is only on factory arms.

Yeah a lot of cobra guys running the calipers seem like they don’t want to spread the knowledge or they just don’t know.

But i sourced another set of spindles just to grind them down. The CTSV calipers look the best in my opinion.

Yeah I agree and I am sure they are a benefit over the ats 4 pistons. Just like you said no one seems to want to open up on how it’s done but rather they keep it vague. My guess was some wanted to keep it as something they can call their own.
