Ya were out there... I'm pitted with all the coyote stock guys cause they are all good friends of mine. I'm on the spectator side of the track (opposite side of tower). I'm right along the fence EXACTLY at the score boards. You'll see the car there. Plus my buddies blue mach 1 and black navigator. And black snap on tents...:)

We wanted to chime in quickly and present some facts and clarification. 1. The customer did request a 3.700 bore, we did not feel comfortable using the factory head gasket on the larger bore at that time (this was a Gen 1 block sold in 2013), the customer was notified of this and we explained this clearly to him, furthermore there is no price difference for STD bore (3.630) or 3.700 ( so he did not pay for something that he didnt get, ie - there was no upcharge). 2. We told the customer we are happy to look at it, the shop/customer said they were just going to fix the blown headgaskets (which at that point they thought it was all it had) and simply put it back together, we were told later that the engine may have also had cracks in it. Needless to say the block was never sent to us, so of course there is nothing we can do if the parts are not returned to us. We are unable to verify the validity of this claim or the reasons that it may have happened. A blown headgasket (water entering the combustion chamber) will certainly cause cylinder deformation, the bottom line is you cannot compress water, it is likely that the blown headgasket (which is a known fact and stated to us by the install shop) damaged the block by water entering the chamber and trying to compress it (hydrolocking) - unfortunately something has to give. Moving forward, we would love to get this block back to our facility for inspection and even though it is no longer under warranty MMR will gladly replace it if the blown headgasket/hydrolocking is not the cause of the cracked block. blk00gtvert, we are very sorry that you had a issue - regardless of cause and as we stated prior we are still happy to revisit the failure for possible warranty consideration.

Amazing what you find when you read the forums... I am the owner of this car.. I have NO CLUE what MMR is talking about, they DID NOT contact me or Matt about the change from the 5.2 liter big bore to a 5.0 due to head gaskets concerns or any other concerns. It is total BS!! The only way we found out about the switch was when we measured the cracked block. And for the rest, it is my opinion that the bock failure was a case of a bad sleeve install. And for the record had they in fact told me they could not do the big bore they advertised... I probably would not have proceeded with the build from them.

i have been so damn busy lately and i kinda forgot about this thread. HUGE changes in the car. was getting lots and lots of belt slip from the 12 rib. so converted everything to cog drive. also redid all the piping and switched to a cobra jet intake manifold for more plenum volume and larger TB. ditched the heavy air to water that was working TOO good (more on that later) and got a hold of treadstone's new R core that is rated at 2,700 CFM :) built my own end tanks, made a bumper support, added a cobra R hood that will help drop the inlet temps to the blower, built a carbon fiber bell mouth, and i milled out a billet blower brace to stop my bracket flex. switched to id2000's and i'm now making right at 1000 wheel through the th400 on 24psi. and i also took #300 out of the car ;)

JUST finished the car up last night. needs a bath and needs to have the hood painted as well as the saleen grill added. but i am headed to a private track rental this weekend so now things will get interesting ;)
