It's not a particularly fast car but it has huge sentimental value to me and I finally got the car back on the track last weekend at the ABM Nats at Cecil Country Dragway. The car belonged to a friend of mine who was killed in 2002. His parents gave me the car a couple years ago figuring he would want me to have it. It had sat for years in a barn and needed work. The paint was faded, every bushing was dry rotted, etc. I got it drivable but really wanted to get it truely track ready this year. With help from friends and parts from quite a few SVTP members I got the car back on the track. Ran 12.20s@112 with the same basic setup he ran it with back in the day plus a few updates. Basic bolt ons and gears. His goal was always 11's on the stock motor and I will get it there. Here is a link to the article 5.0 did on our cars back in 2003
