Local ford dealer here has one in their showroom , i'm sure its for sale but not sure what they want for it ..nice car for sure

8 miles, wow. I hope they aren't hoping for more money because Ernie Irvan owns/owned it. It's not like he was Earnhardt, or Allison, or Petty.

What a waste of owning such an awesome car, I understand why some people collect cars, but it will never appeal to me. It's like buying a race horse and putting it in a petting zoo.

If I had the cash, I'd snatch that thing up and beat on it at the track where it belongs. Such a great machine needs to be used for what it's built to do.

Id love to but this car and use it the way it was meant to be used! Would probably get a few bolt ons here and there also.....

280 at the flywheel? That sucks. What heads did they use on that motor? the GT40s? Im sure that thing is a torque monster I imagine longtubes and full exhaust would do wonders for it

Engine compartment sure could use a good detail!!!!!! Looks like an 80,000k engine.

I was thinking the same thing. Wonder what all would need to be done to get that thing back on the road and be reliable.
I'm afraid Ernie is going to be sadly disappointed in the return on his investment, but, I could be wrong....
