Panama is growing in popularity and is cheaper. Punta Cana is very comparative to Jamaica, the Bahamas and Costa Rica.
But, if I try to drive 7 miles to Dunkin Donuts, I will count at least 4 near head-on collisions with distracted drivers.
Let me guess... pattern is full?Negative ghost rider.
The living part or the being sick part?...but it wasn't worth it.
Believe me.
yesThe living part or the being sick part?
seriously, what are the ****ing odds? 1 in 1 million? It's not like a plague of people dying. Can't tell you how many times I've been to DR and Mexico.Tainted alcohol is a real issue throughout the Caribbean and Mexico. I am sure that is what has caused a lot of these illnesses/deaths. I'd steer clear of DR. Hell, I'd steer clear of any place down there right about now. I remember hearing the State Dept warn spring breakers last year about consuming tainted alcohol in spring break hot spots in the Caribbean. I'd bet this is the reason why the DR visitors are getting sick and dying.
I'll gladly forfeit $300 and live.

people are worried about tainted alcohol LOL.... OK then ....go to Costco or Walmart, and buy 3 thirty packs and 2 handles of Rum. That will be a GREAT start to your vacation. Oh, also grab 2 packs of water cases too.
not true at all. I hate all inclusives. Huge rip off. Usually the booze is shit and the food is shit. Many people get a rental car so they can explore the island. Which includes, hitting the local stores for food. Most people head there for an all inclusive. They land, hop a shuttle and don't leave the property until their flight home. They don't want to go to walmart. They don't want to see locals. They don't want to worry about anything, period...that's why they are at an all inclusive.
