Just wondering what a decent time should be at my 505 whp. I ran about 8.1's but feel like that is slower than it should be. I don't remember my 60' times or reaction times.
Well my car made 484hp and I have a best of 7.60 @ 95 with a 1.85 60ft.. That was on 315 nitto Dr's... Might have been a 1 off type deal and he hasnt been a able to repeat it, but with the same nittos pulled off a 1.62 60ft (iirc) and went 7.20 @ 97...
If you are not running slicks, i seem to have the best luck leaving the line about 3500 rpm and "rolling out" on the clutch..
Just as kind of a reference, this IMO is about the only way you can launch DR's effectively... (mainly nittos) I know the song is in the way of it, but you can hear me bring the revs up and then the launch. I could have used a better burn out, but that was over 2 years ago! haha
(This was at ennis which is wayyy strict on the rules and i didnt want to get kicked of for running too fast, so they were just some fun runs with my buddies.) :rolling:
No, 8.1's are terrible for that power level and the mph is what my heavy 440 hp vert traps in the heat of summer. Sounds like you are spinning and the car is pretty hot.
Number is off....I ran a 7.7 @ 95.9 (11.9 @ 122) with my stock Eaton when I was making 465 rwhp on Nitto 315 DR's (1.80 - 60 ft)...We'll find out what the POSI port does soon!
8.20's @ 82-83 with a best of 8.19 @ 85 with a 1.90 60 ft. M/T dr's on a heavy vert with a 2.8 upper and cai, exhaust and tune. I still feel like I have room to improve
Driver mod is your friend. Im still learning my self but the one big factor is having the right setup when you go. Spinning is not winning so if trap times is a goal I would invest in a delrin bush kit for the back along with a diff brace. A good set of tires is also important. Going down to a 16 inch wheel with a set of bias ply tires will get you cooking down the track with practice.
well i just went back to the track last night and my best run: RT was .61 and 60' was 1.8, so I feel ok about those, but i missed 3rd and ruined my run...i think i was gonna make 7's for sure, but ill never know. yeah, based on all yall's posts, i wonder if my tune is off. it doesnt help to have street tires either though
Mid sevens is where you should easily and in the mid 90s for the mph, I make about the same power as you but im set up for the strip and i run in the 6.8-6.9 range @ 98-100 in the 1/8th.
