I asked my dad if he could give me a ford dealership to run and he said no. I guess I’m not a variable income after all.

You fail to understand the risk his dad took. The far more common result is the son takes dad's business to zero. Kudos to Nick for first understanding the opportunity being offered and 2nd, being able to take advantage of it. From firsthand experience in my own family, I am keenly aware of the responsibility you strap on accepting his job. The pay comes from doing it well.

Don't get me started on pay...haha

I make 61% of the national average of General Managers.. 38% compared against the upper 25%, and 24% compared to the top 10%.

I love what I do and love keeping it in the family.

Noticing on certain models, like Expeditions and F-150's some dealers are offering up to 9k off of MSRP. Somewhat tempting to go and see what the catch is.

Local dealer with no BS fees or dealer add ons is only between 2-3k off MSRP.
I was also surprised to get a $2K off mailer from Ford for F150...
I've always aimed for at least $10K off MSRP when buying new.
I thought those days were over never to return...but maybe not?
(Offer is also good 2024 models, not just leftovers)

10k off msrp?! Jesus
Yep, I got $15K off my 2018 F150 (end of year deals + $2K private offer from a high volume dealer) and $9500 off my '19 Mustang (leftover deals with $1K private offer)
The deals are out there, but you have to wait, watch and travel to get them.
Sometimes the cars with deals don't have all the options you'd like, but Fords are currently so modular, you can add most of them later DIY, so its not a complete deal breaker.

They offer these incentives to offset the giant price increases they do...

With this...on a loaded XLT, you would be about $10k off.

Now that the strike is ending, any idea what current order times are on f250?

Easily 4 months...and a lot of that will depend on trim level and options.

The strike is 'over' but the contract still needs to be ratified...before they re-strike haha

More than I make. lol If I hadn't given my percentage, I would gladly share...but my grandfather always taught me you don't talk about the women you've been with or how much money you make.

More like $1.50. 10%. That's a beating where I come from.

lol, I hadn't updated my screen ticker.
