Damn you! I was just watching a couple of your vids I had downloaded wondering why I hadn't seen any races posted since the dear thread.....
That car ran like stink from a dig.

Oh well sorry to see it go!

That salt/calcium will do wonders to those mags with time.

While it is a severe service application for a car of such nature...

The wheels are in fact cast aluminum with painted/clearcoated finish. Not actual traditional magnesium centered wheels.

I can't believe some of you actually drive these cars in the muck/road salt/general crappiness of a northern winter.

I try not to start mine if the temp is sub-50 deg. most of the time.

I never realized how high the '99's sat until I bought my 03 and had them sitting side by side...it was ridiculous!

Ya, I would like to do a few more things before I sell it, but I can't justify spending more money if I"m selling it right away. I'm already buying all new tires for it before it leaves my hands, along with rebuilding another rearend for it with a mild set of 3.73s. :whine:

I can only imagine the salt that is grinding at the paint under that side vent :x
well the car is long gone now. new owner flew in and drove it home 27 hours. which speaks to the drivability of an 03 with a kenne bell and a really good dyno tune. I will say the salt did come off and the car cleaned up fine. winter is a fact of life here in Massachusetts you gotta do what you gotta do.
