+1, nothing like a good match race to get people motivated:banana:

Are you bringing the red car? If so you and Elisa should have a friendly match race:beer:

I'll be bringing both cars the red car for super stang and the blue car for whatever Grudge / 5.0 stuff

the kots has 3 runs on Friday night, and that's it, and that's after the nmra qualifying.

as far as a lot of cars. kots usually invites 10 cars, and 6 to 7 usually end up showing. people always break, or don't get their stuff together, or don't put down the numbers they thought they were.

I am hoping for some good shootout / grudge action

Well from what Mike told us, the KOTS guys would have to miss the 1st round of the "shootout" qualifying if they wanted to do both, but that wasn't definite, so who knows. Hell, we still haven't heard for sure on what is going on. They are worried that not enough 5.0 cars show up for the shootout, but there should be from what I think.

Yeah, I think 12 or 13 cars are invited this year for KOTS. Al's car is ready to kick some ass!

He knows where we stand on this, We are down. Maybe we can see Al's 11 Turbo GT on 20" Vossens run Beef's Red car!

well,

10.0's on forged internals with a 2 step vs 10.6 on non forged internals foot braking. 10.0's wins and most certainly better rt's as well. I can do that math. lol.

we still got other things we'll be testing with the car, but I have no interest in breaking the engine.

we have 2-3 more tenths in the car with a few changes, but I don't plan on pushing it more than that til we put a block in it.

as far as Al's car. Not sure what it runs.

We will be there, my wife will be racing her car in superstang. If you run drag radials this is the best bracket class to run imo, mod muscle is full of transbrake cars. We will be setup in the vendor section so stop by and say hello.

we'll be manning the vortech booth as well

typically you'll be at the dyno until Friday afternoon then head over the track, usually around after 1st round is over.

i'm hoping a lot of 5.0 guys show up.

if Al's car is running in the shooutout, seems like he should be gunning for the blue car...

Looking forward to the racing but hopefully some of the days aren't too long so can get a better chance to meet some people over some beers

Well Al's car will be running on 20" Vossens and Nitto Drag Radials for the KOTS deal. He probably won't be the fastest, the 25.5 SVO car will take that most likely, but it should still run a solid #. After the KOTS is over, all bets are off when the slicks go on :burnout:

Hoping for a good turnout as well.

Definitely looking forward to the drinking and meeting everyone!

So how is the shut down area in BG? Have heard it is plenty long but curious from those of you that have come in kind of hot at the big end

150's I can stop on the brakes, so it's good

160's with the new brakes, probably not, chute time it is!

Well damn, I think I have the same brakes as you, I just still have the power master cylinder. Looks like I'm putting parts up for sale ASAP to afford the chute. Probably a smart idea anyhow, was hoping to see 160 out there

Anyone know of any large groups cruising there together?

Several years ago I went with a large group -- a few hundred Fords -- that all met in Indianapolis. We were able to run around IRP and then had police escorts leaving the city. Just curious if anything like that still exists?

Either way, we are heading down Saturday morning.

Thanks,
Jeff

Not like I was planning on cutting a good light anyhow, but bumpbox is sold and chute is in progress. Stopping is probably more important than cutting a good light. Hopefully can put down some good times in quals and E1, probably not going much further than that. Was just looking for some sea level time slips so should still work out.

lol, stopping is a good thing...

Almost eating the sand isn't a good feeling. Backing up to make the turn off to then pull up to the ticket shack with the brakes pouring smoke while the rest of your class watches is just added fun to the experience...lol
