Boss 429! One of my all-time favorites. It wasn't king of the street back in the day (428 was preferred for the street), but one of the nicest Mustangs ever built IMO. :)

A local guy had his black 69 Boss 429(one of my favorites) out for the Sturgis Mustang Rally and actually drag raced it. In addition to being a nice looking car it also did very well at the track..

Was it stock? what time did he run?

a black '69 boss 429 is my absolute all time fav pony. i would give just about anything for one.

The car has 18k on it and is owned by the original buyer back in 69 when he was 18.

Here are a few more of a 69 boss and a 70 428 cj owned by the guy standing there wearing the white shirt and jeans. They both arrived in the motor home off to the left of the pic. He has a total of 34 including 67 68 gt500's.
The boss has less than 6k on it and has never been titled and from what he was telling me it has spent nearly 90% of it's life as a drag car in the beggining and now is a show piece. The car has a worth of over 700k.

i can't remember his name but he was the pro50 champion now retired. he and his wife live in iowa and travel around to all the shows in their motorhome pulling the double stacker loaded with the mustangs. very nice couple, he gave us the grand tour of his rig and cars. that pic was taken at norwalk
