My one and only knife was a Navy issue pilot's survival knife I got while I was stationed aboard a carrier in '68. I misplaced it somewhere in the house and haven't seen it in over 10 years. :( I never used it. It's worth around $200 in excellent condition. Not a premium collector's knife, but one with sentimental value to me. Hope to find it one of these days.

Here is one exactly like mine, in pretty much the exact same condition.

Nobody can compete with Microtech knives in the auto or OTF (out the front) department. Also, one of the best warranties in the game.

Holy F-bomb Bro!!! I never heard of them before, so I looked them up. For almost $3,000 they better be amazing and that warranty better be spot on. The cheap ones are $1,600!

How wealthy do you have to be before spending $3k on a EDC pocket knife seems like a decent price?

Not sure where you saw that. You can pick up a microtech ultratech (otf) for $265 on BladeHQ. They are indeed badass blades for the money. I have a buddy who's carried one for over three years with no problems.

You probably found their custom Marifone line up which uses all handmade materials. Their standard lineup is sold at BladeHQ and other knife retailers and can be had for $250 and up.

I finally found a boat knife (won't rust in saltwater). Bought it, but haven't tried it out much. I'll post pics later.
