I just recently picked up a co coupe with just a pulley , exhaust and air filter car put down good numbers for that 486 rwhp
I want to get into the 600-650 rwhp range
I am thinking I am gonna go with a tvs blower
What are the all the supporting mods to achieve this goal safely
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I want to start piecing all the parts together over the winter
Thanks

Fuel: BAP, Injectors (if you are sticking around 600 HP you should be ok with just those) any more I would go with a new fuel system

Drivetrain: New RXT clutch, 26 spline input shaft, flywheel, TOB, retainer sleeve - stock clutch can only hold around 550 RWHP

Cooling: 170 degree thermostat with fan settings, killer chiler

Those are just the basics to achieve 600-650 safely. Good luck!

Your car put down a lot for just a pulley, intake and exhaust. My car only put down 432whp w/ an intake, uppper pulley and catback.

Thanks for the info do you have any advice on injector size , tb, plenum which are the best?

if you ask that question on this forum to 10 people you could get 10 different answers... :)

that being said i have the Dragon Throttle Body and Plenum on my cobra... seems to be a popular choice around here...

injector size for 600hp would be 60 or 80 pound injectors - depending on if you have a BAP or not already....

if i were you, i would locate a tuner near where you live and explain what you are trying to do and see what his advice is for injectors, TB, plenum etc or you can call lethal performance also and ask.

also when you get that kind of power you will need some suspension upgrades..i think a good start would be the FTBR full bushing kit, new diff cover and bumpsteer kit ....no point in making that kind of power if you are just going to wheel hop all over the place and possibly break a half shaft...i would also check your drive shaft and make sure all the bearings are good to go...you should not have to upgrade the drive shaft, but when you are putting down that kind of RWHP its piece of mind to know that your drive shaft wont blow up on you. good luck!

car has none of that just a pulley xpipe cat back
And k&n cone filter and a dyno tune
I think it's just a freak motor

Have you checked to see if the lower pulley was changed?
This is something you need to know.
You should also find out what upper pulley size was used, so you will know exactly why your engine made the amount of power that it did.

Freak engines generally amount to only about 5 to 10 horsepower of advantage, anything more than that and there pretty much has to be a reason for it, and you are going to want to know what that reason is.

Have you seen and read through this thread, if not consider it a must read.

From within the thread link above is a link to this thread which directly relates to your questions and addresses required mods for various power levels and the mod options for each level. Though the primary focus is on fuel delivery.

486 tire with an upper only I have never seen. Once you crack the 475 tire I would say you may peg the meter. You may want to bring the car with the sct tuner to a dyno shop and spend $75 for 3 pulls and data log the results. Take the CAI off and verify you are not ported..

486 rwhp is simply a happy dyno. As long as the car runs good and the a/f is spot on who cars what the dyno says.....I made 467/472 with the mods in my sig before installing longtubes. I had a UPR O/RX and the same catback. There is a kid local who Cobra has a 2.76 Upper, x pipe, intake and tune and he made 486/514. I said that's bullshit and he said "bro I got the dyno sheets". I said ok well lets see how my 472 tq does to your 514. I beat him....lol

Yep great numbers, but at the end of the day they're just that... numbers... they'll get you bragging rights, but they don't win races.
